Gatorboard is a high-quality foam board that sandwiches a foam core interior with sturdier boards that are designed to last decades. While foam core will curl, especially in humid climates, Gatorboard will not. Map pins also stay in Gatorboard better. With light-weight foam core, the map pins may fall out over time. We selected Gatorboard for our material to provide a higher quality map that's designed to last you a lifetime.

How are the maps mounted on Gatorboard?
We use a 500 pound roller system to pressurize the map into the board. The Gatorboard is run through our machine twice. First, it applies an adhesive bond to the map. The second, a heated rolling press is used to bond the map to the pin board.
The result: an impressive map that's smooth and embedded with the texture of the Gatorboard.
We use a 500 pound roller to pressurize the map into the board. The Gatorboard is run through our professional mounting roller twice. First, to apply a double-sided adhesive (a high-end elastic tape that is as wide as the Gatorboard). The second, the rolling press is used to roll and adhere the map to the Gatorboard.
The result: an impressive map that's smooth and embedded with the texture of the Gatorboard.
We print the map on canvas and wrap the map around the Gatorboard so the sides of the map are finished. The map can be hung without a frame. All of our wrapped Gatorboards include 2 Command Strips to hang the map. The width of the wrapped Gatorboard is approximately ¼ inch.
The result: a light-weight map that's durable and easy to take on and off the wall. This format is perfect for RV travel maps. The map can be placed on a table to work with and hung on a wall to feature your travels.
