LandSat 9
The latest USGS satellite, LandSat 9, launched in late 2021 and improved its radiometric and geometric resolutions. The LandSat collection offers a vast library of satellite archives since 1972. The data provides historical views of landscapes world wide and is commonly used by Environmental Scientists.
MODIS
MODIS, Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) is a sensor aboard Terra and Aqua satellites. This sensor is ideal for analyzing Earth's environment. The data is gathered every 1 to 2 days in wide swaths on land, oceans, and in the atmosphere.
Sentinel 2
This satellite provides high spatial resolution over land and coastal waters. The multi-special data includes 13 bands of visible, near infrared, and short wave infrared spectrum data. The Sentinel system has a revisit rate of 10 days at the same viewing angle.
ASTER
Aster, Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer collects high resolution images of Earth in 14 wavelengths. Scientists use its 14 wavelengths of electromagnetic spectrum to create maps of surface temperature, reflectance, elevation, and more.
